(FAA – RQF)

First Aid At Work – FAA Level 3 Award (RQF) – 3 Days

Ofqual approved course. All successful students will be issued an FAW certificate lasting for 3 years. This FAW course covers all aspects of basic life support including CPR, bleeding, unconsciousness, choking, head injuries, sprains and strains and a vast range of First Aid conditions that you may experience in the workplace.

Emergency First Aid at Work – FAA Level 3 Award (RQF) – 1 day

A course comprising a minimum of 6 hours of practical and theoretical training covering responsibilities; assessment of the situation; first aid hygiene; resuscitation; anatomy; choking; bleeding; shock; epilepsy; minor injuries and dealing with an unresponsive casualty. Compliant with Health and Safety Executive code of Practice.

Paediatric First Aid – FAA Level 3 (RQF) – 2 Days

A Level 3 First Aid course designed for those who have an interest in child and baby Basic Life Support governed by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) or OFSTED. This course covers life-threatening conditions including CPR, bleeding control, and choking. This course is not only great for schools and nurseries but anyone who works with young children and as a fully qualified teacher (QTS). It will be tailored to ensure it is extremely relevant to your working environment. 

FAW Re-Qualification – FAA Level 3 (RQF)- 2 Days

Ofqual approved course. First Aid at Work refresher course for those who are currently qualified as a First Aider (FAW) and wish to continue as an approved First Aider for another 3 years. This course covers all aspects of basic life support along with a vast range of First Aid conditions.

Defibrillation (CPR & AED Skills) – FAA Level 2 Award (RQF) – 1 Day

This very practical 1-day course will teach you to use an automated external defibrillator (AED) competently and with confidence. Not only does this course deal with the use of an AED, but also revisits some basic first aid skills, including resuscitation and choking. All students are offered a 3-year qualification, subject to assessment.

Activity First Aid – FAA Level 3 Award (RQF) – 2 Days

A First Aid course designed for those who have an interest in outdoor activities. This course covers life threatening conditions including CPR, bleeding control, and choking.

This course is Specifically designed for those who are involved in any form of activity, including sports, leisure, and recreation. This very comprehensive course includes Basic Life Support as well as many other First Aid conditions. 

Catastrophic Bleeding Control – 3 Hours

This is an excellent course to equip learners in how to deal with Catastrophic Bleeding. You will learn, through practical application, how to apply different tourniquets, and haemostatic dressings, as well as how to pack a wound and bandage major bleeds. In addition, you will receive further practice in CPR and AED use. This 3 -hour workshop is aimed at those working in high-risk environments with a high possibility of medical incidents, such as: farming, working with heavy machinery, working in the security sector etc. 

BLS & Safe Use Of An AED – FAA Level 2 Award (RQF) – 4 Hours

A Course comprising a minimum of 4 hours of practical and theoretical training covering first aid, resuscitation, minor injuries, dealing with an unresponsive casualty and use of an AED. This course is great for anyone wishing to know how to administer CPR and use an AED on both children and adults. This very practical course will enable you to use an AED competently and with confidence. 

Basic Life Support – FAA Level 2 Award (RQF) – 3 Hours

The FAA Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support provides learners with knowledge of CPR, safe use of an AED, Primary Survey, the Recovery Position and choking. This course is suitable for all persons and provides vital life-saving actions to take in an emergency. The Basic Life Support qualification will give learners the skills and knowledge to act in an emergency providing the casualty with critical lifesaving assistance until support arrives.

Annual Refresher For First Aiders – Half Day

A 3-hour refresher course recommended by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) to be taken annually for qualified First Aiders and Emergency First Aiders also covering: legislation, equipment and facilities,  responsibilities, accident reporting and risk assessment of first aid needs.

Mini Medics® – First Aid Training For Children – 3 hours

Mini Medics is a non-regulated course offered by NUCO and is a basic introduction to First Aid and Defibrillation aimed at children between the ages of 7 and 11, but it can suit children of any age. It is perfect for schools and after-school clubs, but also any group of children who would like to learn essential lifesaving skills to be able to help those around them.

Appointed Person – 2 hours

A 2-hour theoretical course covering legislation, equipment and facilities, responsibilities; accident reporting and risk assessment of first aid needs. Where an employer’s assessment of First Aid needs identifies that a First Aider or Emergency First Aider is not necessary, the minimum requirement on an employer is to appoint a person to take charge of the First Aid arrangements, including looking after equipment and facilities, and calling the emergency services when required.

Accredited Courses

EFR Instructor Course – 3 days

During the Emergency First Response Instructor course, you will build on your skill as an Emergency Responder and focus on developing your instructional abilities to teach these skills to others. The Instructor course provides you with the additional training necessary to teach the Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR), Secondary Care (First Aid), Care for Children, CPR & AED courses. (Most region-specific workplace courses require additional training.)

Emergency First Response CPR & AED Course – 4 hours

The Emergency First Response CPR & AED course teaches the basic principles of CPR and how to deploy and use an Automated External Defibrillation (AED) in an emergency situation. This life saving device can increase a patient’s chance of survival from a cardiac arrest by fifty percent. This course is very popular for annual CPR (re-)training often required for the workplace.

Emergency First Response Care for Children Course – 6-8 hours

The Emergency First Response Care for Children course is an innovative CPR, AED and First Aid training course that teaches participants how to provide emergency care for injured or ill children (ages one to eight) and infants less than one year old. Participants learn about the types of medical emergencies that children face, and how they differ from adults.
