Catastrophic Bleeding Control – 3 Hours

You will learn, through practical application, how to apply different tourniquets, and haemostatic dressings, as well as how to pack a wound and bandage major bleeds. In addition, you will receive further practice in CPR and AED use. This 3 -hour workshop is aimed at those working in high-risk environments with a high possibility of medical incidents, such as: farming, working with heavy machinery, working in the security sector etc. It is also extremely beneficial for those living in remote areas where ambulance response times may be slow. A major bleed can quickly turn into a life-threatening situation if not dealt with appropriately. This course can be bolted on to a First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid at Work course.
