A Level 3 First Aid course designed for those who have an interest in child and baby Basic Life Support governed by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) or OFSTED. This course covers life-threatening conditions including CPR, bleeding control, and choking. This course is not only great for schools and nurseries but anyone who works with young children and as a fully qualified teacher (QTS). It will be tailored to ensure it is extremely relevant to your working environment.

- Role of the Paediatric First Aider • Seizure • Diabetic emergencies • Primary survey • Choking • Asthma • Resuscitation (CPR including the safe use of an AED) • Minor injuries • Meningitis • Wounds, bleeding, and shock • Recovery position • Febrile convulsions • Allergic reactions including anaphylaxis • Fractures • Extreme cold and heat • Head, neck and back injuries • Foreign bodies • Electrical incidents
This course can be tailored to suit your work environment thereby making it even more rewarding and relevant to participants. Time will be spent practicing the important skills learnt, with scenarios relevant to your particular school/ work environment included. In addition, it is delivered by me, a fully qualified teacher (with QTS), who has significant teaching experience and therefore an in-depth knowledge of the type of incidents and accidents that can occur in a school or nursery setting.
